Backed by decades of research, the Beery VMI offers a quick, reliable, and economical screening method for detecting visual-motor deficits that may impact learning, behaviour, and neuropsychological development.

Suitable for both children and adults, this updated 6th Edition combines child and adult forms for greater convenience and includes new normative data for ages 2 through 18 years, along with research-based updates on educational, neurological, and medical applications.

Purpose:

Helps identify significant difficulties in coordinating visual and motor abilities (hand-eye coordination, fine motor precision, and visual-spatial integration).

Age Range:

  • Full Form: 2 to 100 years

  • Short Form: 2 to 7 years

 

Administration Time:

  • Full or Short Form Tests: 10–15 minutes

  • Supplemental Tests (Visual Perception & Motor Coordination): 5 minutes each
