Its ergonomic semi-recumbent design supports the user in a relaxed, low-impact position that reduces stress on the hips, knees, and lower back while promoting improved joint mobility and circulation. This comfortable posture allows patients to train safely for longer periods while focusing on restoring lower-body strength and mobility.

The 8.5R features a magnetic resistance system with 100 levels of bi-directional resistance, allowing patients to pedal both forward and in reverse for greater muscle activation and improved rehabilitation results. The system has a low start-up resistance starting at 5 watts, making it suitable for early-stage rehabilitation as well as advanced performance training.
